Constantin Brancusi said when referring to his teacher Auguste Rodin “under a big tree, nothing grows”. My interest is focused on the pictorial processes, in highlighting the stain, the texture, the accidents, the expression, the sensuality of the lines, the color, the light in such a way that the recurring themes such as children, maternity, flowers, horses , birds, among others is only a pretext to print more strength in the work.
I am not interested about proposing a self-sufficient, perfectly finished work in which the viewer has no opportunity to complete it; I am interested in capturing attention, I am interested in awakening sensations that recall sensitive stages.
Parallel to this painting language, I have felt a deep interest about recycling art. It has been an experience in which my creativity has felt challenged to take advantage of solid waste and it find out another face to beauty. That´s why we must find out the way to work with the materials available in our environment.
Our contemporary society every day demands more from the artist for answers to his problems from aesthetics and garbage is imposed as a new material that we must take advantage of to highlight the plastic and aesthetic richness hidden from him.
